In this offering we make it convenient for you to buy either the coupler alone OR in tandem the Short Shims All Nation O Scale 2 Rail Short Coupler Shims 3D Printed 13mm x 13mm PN#10000S which match to this Kadee® coupler. 12 shims each in the following approximate thicknesses: 0.5mm, 0.75mm, 1.0mm, 1.25mm, 1.5mm, 1.75mm, and 2.0mm for a total of 84 pieces.
In the process of scratch building freight cars, kit bashing and improving on 2 Rail O Scale models, often the frustration is getting the couplers mounted at the right height. I created some coupler pocket shims to have on hand and 3D printed them on the Prusa Printer in PLA.
The couplers are sold as is straight off the Prusa Printer built plate. PLA is not dishwasher safe and may deform in a hot automobile in the summer time as it has a relatively low glass-transition temperature.
