The Brass King Pins were used with our F3/F7 kits for mounting the trucks to the body floor of the engines. We will continue to use this method on our equipment including forth coming new products in the future. The redeeming feature about the use of this method is the low profile that is provided that serves to accommodate clearances both on the underside of the bolster and on the top side where drive shafts are connecting to the tower drive transmission mechanisms. If a machine screw and nut are used, clearance becomes an issue in many cases. The king pin allows the truck to rotate on curves and can also be adjusted for height with a thin washer under the C Clip if there is to much play on the vertical axis.
