Description

For Sale: Chicago & North Western System Bay Window Wood Caboose in O Scale (PN#3630). The prototype wood bay window caboose was built in 1928 for the Chicago & North Western and its subsidiary the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis & Omaha. This easy to assemble yet slightly challenging kit for beginners is the basic shell requiring the model builder to add all the detail. The parts are a combination of the original wood plus replicated 3D Plastic components for realistic and rustic detail. Steps may be diecast or 3D printed in PLA.
Some details parts, Couplers and trucks are not included
Some original literature and instructions are included but may not be absolutely applicable in terms of the procedures to assemble the model. Glue is required for assembly and many of the parts will need to be cleaned up by removing excess printer build plate support material and filing spurs and edges to clean up the line work. Very little fitting should be necessary.
Sold as is straight off the Prusa Printer built plate, all sales final no returns. PLA is not dishwasher safe and may deform in a hot automobile in the summer time as it has a relatively low glass-transition temperature between 50 and 80 °C and a melting temperature between 170 and 180 °C.
Note:  The orange vice and the track in the photos is for demonstration purposes only.  They are not included in this sale.
