This model is ready for power and installation with a 30mm diameter can motor mounted in fuel tank for a direct drive configuration to the rear truck with our small gear box transmissions. Other motor configurations can be applied such as top mounted with our tower transmission, single or dual power available if the modeler decides at a later date to upgrade.
The die cast parts are assembled, but it is very much recommended to clean and de-grease the body before putting on the primer coat of paint. These engines in this form are highly customizable for the particular road the modeler is working from prototype photos or drawings. Therefore, any other required modifications such as additional grab irons or wind shield wiper blade installations should be considered before starting the painting process. Drill numbers #67 or #72 for pin vises may be used depending on the brass wire used to form detail features.
The platform that hosts the truck mountings or motors if powered will not require any modification and can accommodate tower drive transmissions on either end of the engine. The platform is 3D printed using ABS filament and the color used may vary depending on what we have in stock at the time we print.
