4 Double Shielded Ball Bearings for the journals
These journal bearings are metric in size. I use a 3/16” drill bit which is just under sized enough, followed by using a Dremel 1/8” cylinder de-burring tool in my drill press to hand fit the bearing as you want it to be snug in the journal. I also turn down the ends of the axles slightly so that the axle fits snug into the bearing. Only the bearing race should turn in my opinion. In both cases, you will not have to remove much material.
I suggest doing a test hole for the journal bearing say in a piece of sheet brass or even plastic. Also, always hold those tiny bearings in the palm of your hand. The are like truck or coupler springs, they have a way of jumping on the floor never to be seen again.
