Basic kit to install Kadee or Monarch Couplers on the Lionel S2 Conversion to scale 2 rail.
Final Scale detail work to upgrade the die cast pilot on the Lionel ALCO S2 Switcher engine to facilitate mounting the #743 Kadee Coupler small pocket. An easy plug-in installation that can be glued in place, one for the front pilot and another for the cab end pilot where the frame form factor differs on the casting behind the pilot. The plug-in should be flush on the front. The modeler can use putty to fill in the outline, sand and paint to match the color of the engine. The plug-in has 3 pilot holes so the modeler can tap for a 2-56 machine screw to mount the coupler pocket to the plug-in. Available as a kit with the Kadee #743 couplers and screws or optionally with top operated Monarch Couplers, a more scale realistic coupler for the period for which ALCO S2 were manufactured.

Modeler required to clean up any threads from 3D printing, tapping pilot holes or finish pilot face plate. Monarch Couplers and pocket supplied may require more work to install with option to use the coupler stud on the die cast frame using a metric machine screw.
