All Nation Line developed a product called the Digital Twin Whopper Hopper Atlantic Coast Line (ACL) 3D Printed Mock-Up Prototype For Brass Scratch Build PN#1929AN<\/a>.\u00a0 The purpose of that product is to make available the mock-up car parts\/kit for 2 Rail O Scale brass scratch model builders.\u00a0 The mock-up car parts\/kit has all the major superstructure patterns, templates and stencils to assist in building a unique freight car from scratch including drawings.\u00a0 While the emphasis is on brass, other materials could be used instead such as cards stock, wood or even styrene. My personal preference is brass for ease of soldering, strength, durability and value.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The reason we are now providing a Whopper Hopper Detail Kit is two fold.\u00a0 First, when using the mock-up prototype, you will eventually do a limited assembly as scratch building proceeds\u00a0 in your specific material.\u00a0 Second, if the modeler foregoes scratch building and would like to build the mock-up out instead using many of the already printed items in the mock-up prototype, you would also need the detail parts and some replacement parts.\u00a0 Most important, this detail kit includes several replacement items (i.e., part substitutions) (e.g., the modified center sill bolster platform frame ends) that would be required to finish the 3D printed model and mounting of the trucks. The difference and reason for utilizing these parts to substitute those in the mock-up parts list is to make it easy to use our ASF trucks with Kadee Couplers and arrive at the correct coupler height. Although it is left up to the model builder to make appropriate discernment regarding couplers to use and height considerations.

As you will see, the detail parts are nice.\u00a0 For example, we handcraft the steps to enhance their realistic appearance.\u00a0 See the parts list below for those items that can replace the items in the mock-up kit and all other items in this detail kit.
