Another brilliant and unique design by Gary Reighn<\/a>! With Gary’s permission we are able to print and provide a fun kit for modelers to build.\u00a0 It includes the building kit itself, two (2) rotary converters and (2) transformers (17 pieces in total).\u00a0 It is worth every minute of the 44+ hours to print. \ud83d\ude42 A must for any trolley enthusiast.

All Nation Line makes these parts available for modelers not into 3D Printing. We think this approach is a win-win both for the beginning modeler and the designer to encourage more great work in our O Scale community. We are all about introducing new modelers to the hobby with a low cost easy to assemble kit that helps entry level kit builders improve their skills. Their effort is rewarded with a very nice looking historical traction substation building perfect for any trolley layout. The key to assembly is keeping all parts square when gluing up the components and clamping until the glue sets. Most glue joint line work is not visible if done right. The assembled building is for example only and the trolley cars are for effect (not included :-).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

The detailed brickwork, the windows, doors & ease to put together demonstrate Gary’s talent in this creative design.\u00a0 He provides the following description: “This is an O scale (1:48) model of a typical mid-western, brick power substation used to house electrical equipment for trolley systems back in the day”. …The building is (LxWxH) 4.9″ (124.2mm) x 6.5″ (164mm) x 4.7″ (119.12mm) .”\u00a0 He describes the rotary converter as a typical piece of electrical equipment found in such a building and the transformers are often seen nearby.\u00a0 See below for more details on this design.<\/span><\/div>\n

Line up sides using a right angle to make sure it is aligned.<\/td>\n

Sold as is straight off the Prusa Printer built plate and modeler may have some build to clean. The parts are printed using PLA plastic may be printed in various colors of filament we have in stock<\/span>.\u00a0 The color in the photo is pearl mouse grey and plain grey, but colors will vary.\u00a0\u00a0 You can paint the building in whatever colors suit your layout. PLA is not dishwasher safe and may deform in a hot automobile in the summer time as it has a relatively low glass-transition temperature between 50 and 80 \u00b0C and a melting temperature between 170 and 180 \u00b0C<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
