There\u2019s more to model railroading than cars and locomotives!\u00a0 Our basic structure kits are made with the beginner modeler in mind. Easy, inexpensive and quick to assemble. Our kits are for all, no matter the skill level. This Boat Dock kit will challenge your imagination as it can be configured in a couple different ways – left up to the modeler.<\/span><\/p>\n

For sale in this 3D all PLA kit we include the following parts:\u00a0 Square deck, Dock, 4 pylons, 5 pieces of \u201clumber\u201d, 4 support beams, 1 set of stairs with 3 stringers. Additional photos demonstrate what it could look like prior to any painting.\u00a0 The figure and setting are for example only and not sold with this product.<\/span><\/p>\n

ALL Nation Line Boat Dock Instructions (Suggestions only.\u00a0 Modeler may be creative in many other ways.)<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Lay out pieces, clean any edges of support material (note: texture of surfaces differ).<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Dry fit pieces to be familiar with the build.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Painting pieces prior to assembly is left up to the modeler.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Pay close attention to right angles and squaring as you glue.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Allow glue to set after each step.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Decide on desired design. There are options for the modeler. The instructions are written for full assembly.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Dry fit pylons in holes to ensure fit. Holes may need a light sanding.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Glue the dock to the deck.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Flip structure over and glue 2 pieces of support \u201clumber\u201d lengthwise make sure pylon holes are not obstructed.<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Glue deck support beams in place making sure to leave room to add the stairs (attached to the underside of the deck).<\/span><\/li>\n
  11. Space stringers evenly on the underside of the stairs, then attach stairs to the deck (or other predetermined position at modeler\u2019s discretion).<\/span><\/li>\n
  12. Glue pylons in place.<\/span><\/li>\n
  13. Remaining \u201clumber\u201d can be glued along edges for a finished look.<\/span><\/li>\n
  14. Pylon supports are cut to desired length out of one of the long pieces of \u201clumber\u201d. They can be glued horizontally or diagonally (modeler\u2019s choice).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Basic types of plastic glues such as super glue or Walther\u2019s Goo can be used; however, to learn more about glue and 3D prints there is a very good reference article at the link below from Prusa Research:<\/span><\/div>\n

    Information on painting on PLA is plentiful on the web however Acrylics work well, too.<\/span><\/div>\n

    This kit is 3D printed using PLA. \u00a0 3D parts sold as is straight off the Prusa Printer built plate and some clean up of the edges may be required.\u00a0 PLA is not dishwasher safe and may deform in a hot automobile in the summer time as it has a relatively low glass-transition temperature between 50 and 80 \u00b0C<\/b> and a melting temperature between 170 and 180 \u00b0C<\/b><\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
