For Sale:<\/b> New Product Line Series of Shell Kits are for the beginner model railroader. Basic body parts are supplied in this kit at an affordable price for the modeler that wants to step into O Scale 2 Rail. The first kit we introduce is the UP Wood Caboose that will make a great addition to any pike. The modeler can take this kit to the limit with super detailing with the addition of (operational trucks and coupler not included with this kit).<\/span><\/p>\n

While we could make this kit very easy to put together with a little CA glue in an evening, and it is easy, we printed in a few challenges to make it a learning experience as well as perhaps multiple innovative solutions that the modeler will enjoy. In any event, some parts may need to be cleaned up, build plate material removed and some threads, possibly some sanding, you will find it intuitive to put together and the reason we do not supply step by step instructions. The only caveat is to make sure when assembling the ends to the floor or if preferred the roof, make absolutely sure you glue them square. If you glue the ends to the floor first and they are square, the roof should drop right into place with little or no fuss. The cupola should be center positioned over the wide space between the windows as viewed from the car sides. It should be noted that the roof is printed with 50% Infill to make sure the model is not top heavy meaning it is not 100% solid.<\/span><\/p>\n

The roof, floor, car sides and ends are printed with PLA plastic. The cupola parts and the Platforms are printed with ABS plastic. ABS drills and taps nicely, PLA is a little trickier and may need some practice on scrap material first.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sold as is straight off the Prusa Printer built plate, all sales final no returns. PLA is not dishwasher safe and may deform in a hot automobile in the summer time as it has a relatively low glass-transition temperature.<\/span><\/p>\n
