This kit requires some skills and may be challenging to the beginner modeler. Some tools will be required:<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
1 3\/16″ drill bit<\/span><\/div>\n
1 Dremel type 1\/8″ cylinder de-burring bit.<\/span><\/div>\n
Optional Wheel Press. Wheel press available on the eBay Store.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Assembly includes pressing the wheels onto the axles with one end insulated using the wheel with the larger hole to accommodate the insulator insert.<\/span><\/div>\n

These journal bearings are metric in size. I use a 3\/16\u201d drill bit which is just under sized enough, followed by using a dremel 1\/8\u201d cylinder de-burring tool in my drill press to hand fit the bearing as you want it to be snug in the journal. I also turn down the ends of the axles slightly so that the axle fits snug into the bearing. Only the bearing race should turn in my opinion. In both cases, you will not have to remove much material.<\/span><\/p>\n

I suggest doing a test hole for the journal say in a piece of sheet brass or even plastic. Also, always hold those tiny bearings in the palm of your hand. The are like truck or coupler springs, they have a way of jumping on the floor never to be seen again.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
