Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railway Decal Drawings Case Study
In this study we share the original blueprint drawings for the stencil signage for the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern. This was the basis for use on the All Nation box car kit #3660 lettering. The railroads were very precise in the engineering departments to make sure the painting department shops could do their job. The importance of brand identification as a marketing component for cartage and freight transportation companies was directed at new and old customers alike no matter where that freight cars traveled on the railroad systems throughout the country. This is one large drawing, therefore we took some close up photos of various sections of the drawing to make it easier to read.
