This purchase is for a set of 4 (~9.5″ each section) road bed ties with tie plates that we 3D print. This flat bed load does not come with rail and thus, the modeler would need to add and glue down their own code 100 rail should they choose.
The detail we get with the 3D printed makes for a very realistic rendition, and what a neat flat bed load to see coming down your pike! We hope you enjoy this fun new product.
The track may come in various colors such as black or brown with or without contrasting colors for the tie plates. We will send whatever colors we have in stock. Ties cannot be utilized or used for track work on roadbed on the layout.
This product comes straight off the 3D printer and is typically in PLA and/or ABS; however, primarily PLA. PLA is not dishwasher safe and may deform in a hot automobile in the summer time as it has a relatively low glass-transition temperature between 50 and 80 °C and a melting temperature between 170 and 180 °C.
