A replacement single drive transmission with original die cast AAR Type A side frames Part #4007 with #4070 bolster for the AN NW2 Switcher. If your drive is wore out or you simply have an engine shell that needs to be more than a dummy engine to push freight cars around your yards and sidings, these assembled components are what is need to do the job. With our standard helix gearing, this transmission can be disassembled for future maintenance to the mechanism. The drive shafts are left long deliberately in case power take-off is need for the opposing truck. These shafts can be shortened by the modeler and cut off closer to the gear boxes with a Dremel tool cutting disk. Or, if preferred we can cut them prior to shipment by leaving us a note with the order. The king pin and platform is an original bakelite used to mount to the engine body with 2 4-40 flat head screws. The upper drive shaft requires our 3 x 3 mm universal joint for connecting to the motor drive shaft rod and is not included. Both gear boxes on the axles come with bottom covers. This is as close to drop in ready with the only requirement for the modeler to configure the connection to the particular motor installed in the engine.
