Some modelers that prefer dual powered engines like the tower transmissions on both ends of the chassis. In the case where there may not be enough clearance on one end of the engine for a tower drive, a connecting shaft from the one tower end to this transmission through the fuel tank makes your model a dual drive. This transmission has 2 small gear boxes and can be used in place of one of the tower drives with a drive shaft that connects to the power take-off coming out of the small gear box on the opposing tower drive. This choice also leaves more room inside the engine body for other things such as electronics for sound or for adding additional weight.
Please also note that these trucks have power pickup on all wheels.
