The famous All-Nation NW2 Switcher is available with single or dual power. The model featured above has dual power with our new AAR Type A trucks to replace the original die cast trucks, a reasonable facsimile of the prototype. Note, in this photo the front truck shows or emphasizes the leaf spring whereas the truck under the cab would show the frame down upon the spring with no leaf showing.
The trucks are fully sprung and have ball bearings in the journals. The tower drive transmission powers the front truck with a drive shaft between both and we should note that this drive has all wheel power pickup from the rails for 2 rail 12 volt dc to the Pittman 40mm diameter motor mounting above the platform that facilitates the truck mountings. 4 Flat Head 4-40 screws removed easily allows the mechanism to drop out for ease of servicing.
This offering does not come with a detail kit and couplers are not included. The body is highly polished and ready for a coat of primer paint and additional cleaning and degreasing is recommended before doing the painting process. The modeler is required to finish out the detailing as per the road being modeled.
