These heavy motors for O Scale engines were made in Japan to precision specifications. Tested with 12vdc current, this motor likely can run with 18 to 24 vdc if you have a power supply capable. These appear to be 7 pole armatures with heavy duty commutator and brushes for a long service life. There is virtually no ware on the commutator, consequently the motor is almost new. A pair of these in a double head engine pair would pull just about anything up your stiffest grades on the layout.
