Description
Several of my projects involve converting 3 rail engines to 2 rail. Sometimes I start out with just the engine shell body and work from that point forward. One of my engines that I picked up had a missing body part. I needed to create from scratch the radiator shroud and fan assembly located toward the rear of the engine. This was a lot of fun and figuring out the best approach and yet still have a realistic component that matches pretty close to the prototype. The photos are very close up shots to give you a better look at the quality of the pieces.
For sale, a flared radiator kit requiring some cleanup, some fitting and assembly. Once installed it should be easy to remove if other service work is needed to keep your engine running smoothly. The kit consists of a 2 piece main base, 4 louvers that fit into the 2 louver frames. Included are 2 fans, 2 fan housings and 2 fan grills that mount to the top of the base but supported underneath by 2 cylinder column from the underside of the shroud base.
Video instructions for building this kit can be viewed below:
The radiator shroud assembly is printed using the PRUSA ABS filament, the parts are sold as is straight off the Prusa Printer build plate, all sales final no returns.
