A number of O Scalers have been working to study and redevelop/improve upon a specification for building module sections for running trains at the many Train Shows around the country. Part of this work was in developing components and parts to make it easier for modelers to quickly assemble a section, put track on the table top and take to a show to join it to other modules for a really large running layout. Consequently, we came up with a number of parts that cannot be sourced anywhere so we engineered them for 3D Printing. As an O Scale Kings project, once the specification is finalized, we will make the files Open Source and freely available. In the meantime, for modelers that do not do 3D Printing, I will try to make these accessory items available on Ebay.
A part of this project was to give modelers options in building a section for a portable train show layout. If telescoping legs are not used and a fixed height is desired, leg levelers are needed to compensate for module to module height adjustment and or uneven floors. These leg levelers are designed to make it easy to adjust the height without any extra tools to do so.
For Sale! 1 set of 4 leg levelers consisting of 2 pieces for 1″ PVC pipe. The upper part contains 1 3/8-16″ Zinc Hex Nut embedded in the plastic. Other hardware required not included and shipped with this set will be 4, 3/8″ threaded bolts with 4 washers and 4 nuts. This extra hardware can be sourced at your local hardware store. I use a 3″ bolt fully threaded.
If floor leg pads are desired, the larger leg pads (5″) will be required, not the smaller 4″ pads. See other listing. Leg pads are not included in this sale.
