Note: Brass snowplow is not included but shown in the photos for comparison only. Pilot is not included in this sale but can be purchased under separate cover.
The width of the plow is approximately 60 mm wide and 21 mm high. Designed to work on our 3D Printed pilots, of the 4 variations, the rear end of the mounting plate on the 1st variation or base model is 20 mm width. However, that does not fit into our pilot, consequently the other variations have a reduced width or narrower mount of only 10 mm. The wider mount is intended to give other mounting or customization options to the modeler. The overall length of the mounting plate with the pilot hole is approximately 24 mm.
The plow is generic for fitting on General Purpose (GP) engines. Having purchased brass castings from the original owner Bob Smith at Central Locomotive Works many years ago, this implementation was modeled based on his castings which were true to the prototype equipment of the times.
Mounting to the pilot can be as simple as 2 small screws (not included) or gluing the plow on the front end of the engine pilot. The modeler must take into consideration the coupler mounting as well.
Items come straight off the Prusa 3D Printer (ABS Filament) and may require some build clean up. Filament color may vary depending on what we have in stock or what is mounted on the printer when the print job is queued up.
