Bettendorf Sprung Freight Truck, 33” Wheels (Assembled)
For Sale: 1 Pair Bettendorf Sprung Trucks Assembled #3848 with 33″ wheels. Wheel sets are insulated on one side.
The Bettendorf truck bolster will require the modeler to drill a clearance hole dead center in the bolster. 2 machine screws for mounting the truck will be required to mount the assembled truck. Use a 9/64 drill but no larger than a 5/32 for clearance as you want to leave a shoulder surface in the king pin hole on the bolster so the machine screw has a stopping point when adjusting the play in the truck when mounting. To large of a hole and the screw will simply pass through.
NOTE: Some clean up of flash on the side frames and bolster with a small file maybe required for smooth assembly and operation.
