For Sale: New Jersey River Line Car (Stadler) KIT 3D Printed PN#710ANK
Courtesy of Gary Reighn
Yet another original and wonderfully inventive design by Gary Reighn! With Gary’s permission, we’re able to print and offer this fun kit for modelers with intermediate to advanced skills.
All Nation Line makes these parts available for builders who aren’t into 3D printing, creating a true win‑win for both new hobbyists and the designer. Our goal is to welcome more people into O Scale by providing low‑cost, easy‑to‑assemble kits that help entry‑level modelers grow their skills. For builders ready to take the next step, this project offers a richer challenge and a more substantial build experience while still staying accessible. For modelers who’ve built a few kits and are eager to stretch their skills, this project offers a satisfying step up in both detail and depth.
The original files were created for HO scale, and we’ve carefully scaled the model up to O scale. As Gary explains, “This model is the Stadler LRV used on the River Line in New Jersey from Trenton to Camden. This car is an electrically powered vehicle with a diesel generator housed in the unit between the two passenger bodies.”
The New Jersey Transit’s River Line units, between Trenton and Camden, are distinctive for their articulated two‑body design joined by a central power module that houses a diesel generator feeding electric traction motors. The GTW’s (articulated rail car) clean lines, modern profile, and unique diesel‑electric configuration make it an eye‑catching subject in O Scale, especially for modelers who enjoy contemporary transit equipment.
This kit adds a bit more complexity and presence on the workbench, making it a great next milestone for growing modelers. It’s a natural progression for anyone ready to move beyond the basics and enjoy a more involved O Scale build.
