Some modelers that prefer dual powered engines like the tower transmissions on both ends of the chassis. To save a little money, this transmission with the 2 small gear boxes can be used in place of one of the tower drives with a drive shaft that connects to the power take-off coming out of the small gear box on the tower drive . This also leaves more room inside the engine body for other things such as electronics for sound or for adding additional weight.
Please also note that these trucks have power pickup on all wheels.
