For Sale: All Nation Grain Bin Beginners KIT (15 Pieces) O Scale PN#421ANK
As a result of our high volume of 3D Printing, we have many used empty plastic spools from our filament utilization. Consequently, in an effort to save the environment, we are finding ways to repurpose them in our O Scale model manufacturing as opposed to recycling or rendering them to the landfill. The grain bin kit is an ideal size for the O Scale layout that may incorporate a farm scene. The bin cylinder measures approximately 18 scale feet and has 6 corrugated bans that slide over the filament spool making it a very ridge structure. Estimated to hold about 16,000 bushels, the kit can be adapted for various uses on the farm for drying corn, storing farm commodities for livestock or for future sales to the markets.
The grain storage bin is an easy way to gain modeling skills in putting together structures on the layout. Overall dimensions when complete: 4″ height by 4.5″diameter.

Parts list:
1 Recycled Filament Spool Inner Support 3 1/4″ height x 4 1/4″ diameter
6 outer corrugated rings
1 thin concrete base ring
1 roof
1 roof access cap
4 roof vents
1 grain auger
Grain Bin Suggested Instructions
Bin assembly:

Assess lip of inner support ring which may need filing or sanding for easier assembly when sliding on the rings.

Clean up any build material on the 6 outer corrugated rings.

Snap the thin base ring onto the end of the inner support ring.

Slide outer rings, one at a time, over the support ring (These are a snug fit. No glue required)

The first outer ring is pressed all the way down to the base ring.

Slide remaining outer rings onto the inner support ring arranging the side pattern as you prefer.

Glue grain auger in place.
Roof assembly:

Glue access cover and vents to roof.

Roof may or may not be glued into place.
Painting options and additional details are left to discretion of modeler.
Pull up your tractor and load up!
This kit was 3D printed with PLA and in general is printed with grey/silver filament. Should the modeler want a different color please let us know. This product is sold as is straight off the Prusa Printer built plate. There may be some threads of support material that needs to be cleaned up prior to the build. PLA is not dishwasher safe and may deform in a hot automobile in the summer time as it has a relatively low glass-transition temperature between 50 and 80 °C and a melting temperature between 170 and 180 °C.
