From time to time we find 3D Print gcodes on various sites for items we think will be fun for the modeler but you may not have access to a 3D printer. Under the license of creative commons we found this fun, 10 piece chicken coup which is adorable once put together. It is an item that is interesting for the beginner as well as the advance modeler. A nice addition in many scenes.
CHICKEN COOP SUGGESTED INSTRUCTIONS
- Lay out pieces, clean any edges of support material (note: texture of surfaces differ).
- Dry fit pieces to be familiar with the build.
- Painting pieces prior to assembly is left up to the modeler.
- Pay close attention to right angles and squaring as you glue.
- Allow glue to set after each step.
- Attach hutch to floor
- Attach roof
- Insert doors into hinges in the frame PRIOR to gluing frame to chicken coop.
- Attach framed doors to the coop. Pay particular attention to position (doors flip down and out) AND avoid gluing door hinges.
- Attach plank to desired position
- Add in nests
Note: The completed photos are for demonstration purposes only. This purchase is a kit. Sold as is straight off the Prusa Printer built plate and may require some clean up of build. PLA is not dishwasher safe and may deform in a hot automobile in the summer time as it has a relatively low glass-transition temperature between 50 and 80 °C and a melting temperature between 170 and 180 °C.
